He promised me protection, but no one could protect me from him.

I don’t know why he hates me so much, but Kellen Arches has stopped at nothing to make my life at Wicked Falls a living hell. He torments me relentlessly until I finally give into his demands. I give up everything for him, but everything is still not enough. He wants more.
He wants the only thing I have left.
Me.

***Quiet Rage can be read as a standalone and comes with a HEA*

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

Chapter 1

Kellen

It must be nice to be a college student. Not just somebody who takes classes, but the old cliché of a carefree teenager who gets to live out every day the way they want to. On the surface, that’s what I get to do. I hang out with my friends in my free time, I study—and at least, I do as much as I need to so I can pass. Right now, walking across campus, I fit in. Nobody would know there’s anything different about me just by looking.

They don’t see what’s inside. They don’t see the walls separating me from the rest of them. I feel like a scientist or something like that, the kind who observes animals in the wild. When I notice a group of guys throwing a football around while girls hang out on the grass, I don’t see people my own age passing time between classes. There’s something foreign, because they have something I never will. They’re free to think about themselves and their lives and that’s it. There’s nothing hanging on them the way it does on me.

“Kellen! Hey!” A couple of the guys lift their hands to me, like they’re trying to wave me over to play. I point to my wrist and shrug—the international sign for I’m in a hurry. I’m not really in a hurry, but I’m also not in the mood to pretend I feel carefree today. The mood I’m in, I would end up hurting somebody, which isn’t hard to do even on a good day since I’ve pretty much been the biggest guy in the room ever since I hit puberty.

There’s a couple of girls sitting on a bench under a tree. They’re cute, but that’s not what caught my attention. I can hear one of them bitching and moaning about something as I approach with my backpack slung over my shoulder. “I’m supposed to work fifteen hours a week and take four classes? Where the hell am I supposed to find the time?” the girl whines.

It’s amazing I can settle for rolling my eyes when I really want to laugh in her face. She thinks that’s a problem? That’s something worth complaining about? For fuck’s sake, she’s close to tears while her friend tries to comfort her. It’s pathetic. So many people don’t have the first clue how easy their life is. Taking four classes and working fifteen hours a week would be a luxury for me.

Because not everybody has a father like mine. Not everybody has a life like mine. They can act young and careless the way we’re supposed to at this age. They can fuck up, make mistakes and learn from them, they can fall back on their parents when they need help the way people our age are supposed to be able to do. And I know life could be worse. I’m not poor, I don’t struggle that way. But there are many ways to struggle.

Like the struggle I’m going through as I enter the cafeteria and force myself to leave the rest of my life outside for now. I don’t want to think about Dad or anything I left behind this morning. I can think about it later, when class is over and I have no choice but to slide into my other life the way I slide into a pair of jeans.

“Hey!” Tucker notices me first and waves a hand overhead, even though they’re all sitting at our usual table. Not that we have our names written on it or anything. People know to stay away just because we’ve been seen there so many times. That’s sort of the effect we have around here.

I jerk my chin at my friends and look around the table. “Just us today?” I ask as I sit down.

“The girls had some stuff to do at the library,” Briggs explains. He looks disappointed, which doesn’t make any sense to me—he and Wren live together. He sees her every day. They can’t spend a few minutes apart?

It’s funny, how different it is to hang out with them when their girls aren’t here. I would never tell them this, but I’m not totally comfortable with the way things have changed since everybody started dating seriously. The girls are cool and all that, low drama, I can sit down and have a beer with them at a party. But there are differences in how we talk and act around each other now that it isn’t just the guys, and since I’m the last one still single, I’m the one who feels it.

“Did you sleep last night?” Preston asks, elbowing his twin brother Easton and jerking his chin at me. “You look like you just rolled out of a grave and brushed off the dirt before you came in.”

“It was a late night.” That’s all that needs to be said. They know I work at my father’s bar, even if they don’t know the specifics. To them, a late night means staying up with their girlfriend. Or partying too hard, maybe. They have that luxury.
She is 18, his new stepsister, and so very off limits.

Dawson

I spent the last year of my life in Europe overseeing and growing my company into a billion-dollar empire. I come home expecting a celebration, but instead my father tells me I have a new stepsister, and she is going to be my new assistant.

Harper isn’t just unqualified, she is a curvy distraction I can’t afford. She pushes all of my buttons, and I’ll push hers right back. She doesn't know what she is getting herself into.

Harper

All I want is to go to art school, but instead, I’m forced to work as an assistant for my new bully stepbrother. I’m supposed to be at his disposal twenty-four hours a day. But if he thinks he can boss me around all the time, he has something else coming.

My feistiness quickly fades when I realize that not all of Dawson’s businesses are legitimate and that my new stepbrother has a dark side I’m not prepared to handle. Can I untangle myself from the web I’m in before it’s too late?

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

Chapter 1

Dawson

Some things never change. Death and taxes. Having entrees show up at the table as soon as you make it to the bathroom. The scent of bullshit in the air as soon as I cross through the front gate of my father’s estate.

It gets stronger once my driver has pulled up in front of the imposing front porch, set atop a set of wide, brick steps. “Welcome back, Mr. Price.” A kid who doesn’t look like he’s old enough to shave gives me a wide smile after opening my car door so I can step out onto the circular courtyard at the base of the steps. “You’re looking well.”

I’m sure I’ve never set eyes on him, and vice versa, but he talks to me like we’re old friends because that’s what he’s paid to do. To serve and to kiss ass.

I’m not like my dad. I don’t appreciate too much ass kissing. “You should see me on a good day,” I murmur, nodding toward the pair of guards flanking the double front door under a sloping porch overhang. Them, I recognize. When Dad finds trustworthy people, he doesn’t let them go.

He is who I’ve come to see. My first visit to the house since flying in after a year overseas. I suppose a year isn’t long enough for any real change to take place. The inside of the house hasn’t changed at all, even if Dad is no longer the only person living here besides the full-time staff who have their own rooms downstairs. The gold digger Dad married six months ago hasn’t wreaked havoc yet, but I got the feeling it’s only a matter of time before her tacky taste infects the estate’s old-school grandeur.

She must be around here somewhere. Probably sleeping at nine in the morning. Trophy wives don’t get out of bed before eleven at the earliest. I’m sure she figures now that her acting career has dried up—what little there was—she deserves a rest. The thought of a gold digger getting her hands on what Mom poured her attention and love into is a lump of burning coal eating a hole in my gut.

“Is that my son?” I’m halfway down the hall leading through the east wing when Dad’s voice booms out. When I was a kid, I really believed he had eyes everywhere. I was too young to notice the cameras placed throughout the house. I’m sure he has the feed pulled up on his laptop, anticipating my arrival.

Rounding the doorframe of his study, I find him sitting behind his desk, surrounded by his collection of memories. Souvenirs from trips around the world, rare books he tracked down and paid fuck only knows how much for.

For the first time, I spot a glaring difference in the décor. Instead of the row of old photos sitting in silver frames on the credenza behind him, Dad now displays six months’ worth of photos of him and his new wife. For fifteen years, he’s chosen to memorialize my late mother, and it took all of six months to wipe her out. Instead of Mom’s soft, dark curls and gentle smile, a plastic-faced woman with bleached hair and an almost-orange tan beams cheesily at me.

“I see you enjoyed your honeymoon,” I murmur, studying the photos after shaking his hand. Shots of Dad and Diana on a tropical beach, in front of the Taj Mahal, even on top of the Eiffel Tower with Paris spread out behind them.

“Diana had never traveled extensively. It was gratifying, sharing the experience with her.” Right, and I’m sure it was gratifying when she sucked his dick once they got back to the hotel. There’s no way this relationship is built on anything real. It’s a transaction, pure and simple, the way it was with Diana’s previous three husbands. If Dad thinks I didn’t look her up the minute he told me her name, he’s never known the first thing about me.

Really, would that be a surprise?

The thing is, if he didn’t look so damn happy in those pictures, I might throw it all in his face. Her divorces, the allegations her ex-husbands made. Infidelity being the chief point, of course. Their relationship is still new enough that she’ll be a good girl for a while—I’m sure she’s learned a thing or two by now about discretion.

“And where is the wife?” I ask, looking over Dad’s shoulder out the windows behind the desk, where the pool sparkles. “I figured she would be outside on a beautiful day, getting some sun.”

“She’s not the early riser we are,” he explains, and his voice drips with indulgence that sets my teeth on edge. “I didn’t ask you to come in to meet her, anyway. There are bigger issues we need to discuss.”

If anything, I’m glad. Business, I can handle. “Let’s hear it.”
I thought having cancer at 18 was the worst thing I’d have to deal with. Then I meet Preston and Easton Scott. The cruel but devilishly handsome twins hate me from the first moment they see me, and their dislike only grows as time passes.
While I try to juggle school, treatments, and taking care of my grandma, the twins and their friends find new ways to make my life a living hell.
At least they don’t know I’m sick, because I’d rather be bullied than pitied.
Question is. How much more can I take before I break into a million pieces?

This book can be read as a standalone. Please be aware of the triggers. HEA guaranteed

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

1

EMMA

“How are you feeling, sweetheart? How are you holding up?”

The question isn’t directed at me, but it makes me smile a little, anyway. I turn my head to the right far enough to watch a middle-aged man with worry etched across his face, leaning over to squeeze the hand of the woman sitting in a chair just like mine, next to a machine just like mine.

Receiving chemotherapy, just like me.

She gives him a weary smile that lights up her face, even if the effect doesn’t last for long. She’s trying to be strong—to be brave for him. I might not know what it’s like to have somebody sit with me through this, but I am familiar with putting on a brave face.

The last thing I want is for Grandma’s health to get any worse because of me. It’s bad enough she had to spend so much of Grandpa’s life insurance payout to fund our move, and all because she wanted me to get the best care possible. We can’t risk her having another stroke. It might not be small this time, the way it was before. And I don’t know what I would do without her.

So it’s for the best that even though she wants to be here, I always tell her to stay home and rest. Officially, there’s nothing she could do here, anyway, besides sit and make up stories about the people we see. That’s something she likes to do when she’s bored—deciding who people are and where they come from, what made them cross paths with us. She watches a lot of movies and loves the ones where characters have secrets they hide from the rest of the world.

I know all about secrets.

I also know that once I’m finished, there’ll be a narrow window of time when I’ll be able to drive before the exhaustion gets to be too much. I could get a cab or an Uber, but it feels like a waste of money we need for other things. That’s why I’m out of my chair as soon as the nurse says it’s okay for me to go. I feel the clock ticking, and like secrets, that’s nothing new. I have felt the clock ticking for a long time. Thankfully, everybody seems positive and helpful based on my reaction to treatment so far.

So maybe it’s ticking a little softer, but the sound is still there. It follows me everywhere I go, which right now means trailing me down the hall to the elevator, hovering over my shoulder all the way down to the lobby, then through the revolving doors leading outside. Things are pretty quiet out here at this time of night. It’s past seven, meaning shift change has already gone through, and close enough to the end of visiting hours that most randoms have already left. Spend enough time in a hospital and you start to pick up on routines.

Fresh air is a nice change of pace after breathing recycled hospital air that smells of bleach and staleness. I always make it a point to take a few deep breaths to clear my head on my way to the car, like I’m leaving treatment behind for now. Sort of like taking a shower to wash the day away. Same idea. The scent still clings to my clothes, though, as I hustle toward the late-model Hyundai that sometimes requires a lot of praying before it will start. I really hope tonight isn’t one of those times, since I’m sort of in a hurry.

At least, I was in a hurry before I hear what sounds like a fight going on a couple of rows away from where I’m parked. There’s a handful of cars scattered around up there.

Don’t go over there. My instincts are screaming at me to mind my own business while I come to a stop, looking around the mostly dark lot for any sign of whoever is making those pained, grunting noises. Curiosity and concern are what makes my feet move in the direction of the noise, even as I tell myself to stop. This isn’t your fight. This isn’t your problem. Maybe not, but I would want somebody to help me if it was my problem. That’s a lot of what’s wrong with the world in a nutshell, really. People who can’t be bothered to get a little uncomfortable for somebody else’s sake.

A large, black truck blocks most of what’s happening next to it, but as I slowly round the front, I’m rewarded with a better view—though I can’t say I’m glad now that I have a look at the battered, bloody guy on the ground, curled in a ball and gasping for air.

That’s not the worst part. The worst part is not one, but two men standing over him—breathing hard, fists clenched at their sides.
I hated her before I ever met her.

I hate everything about her. The sounds of her soft-spoken voice, the look in her always guarded eyes and the way she pushes her too big glasses up her small nose. I despise it all and now I can’t get away from her.

Elianna Montego is my new stepsister, living in the room next to mine. She is there when I wake up, she’s there at school, and seemingly every other place. I just can’t get away from little Elli.

I guess the only thing I can do now is make sure she is as miserable as I am.

***Unhinged Love is book three in the Wicked Falls Elite series but can be read as a standalone. No cliffhanger.

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

ONE

Carter

I hate a lot of things, but what makes me grind my teeth the hardest is hypocrisy. People who smile to your face but wish they could stick a knife in your back. I would always rather know the truth about how somebody feels about me, and I hate pretending to like anyone I can’t stand. It’s a waste of time.

So why am I sitting here, forcing a smile that feels more like a grimace?

Oh, right. Because this is the first so-called family dinner with my new stepmother and her daughter.

Correction: my new gold-digger stepmother and her gold-digger freak of a daughter.

Before now, I would never have called my dad stupid. He’s the chief of police, for one thing—not a position a stupid man could handle as successfully as he has. He’s got a talent for seeing through people that makes him a real pain in the ass to anybody on the wrong side of the law. It’s something I have always admired about him, even if I don’t usually admit shit like that. Not out loud.

So why the fuck can he not see through the woman sitting across from him, laughing at his lame jokes like they’re the funniest thing she’s ever heard? “You are too much,” she coos, batting her fake eyelashes.

Fake like her Botoxed face. Fake like her hair extensions, and her enormous cantaloupe tits. I don’t think a single thing about her is real, including her so-called feelings about Dad. The second I met her, I knew what she was in this for. She lives an expensive kind of lifestyle, and she needs a man who can support that.

How is he so blind? How can he look at her with love shining in his eyes? The dumb son of a bitch thinks she actually loves him.

If I thought he would listen, I would sit him down and tell him what he needs to hear.

But that’s the thing—he wouldn’t listen. He wouldn’t want to. And I would end up being the bad guy who doesn’t want his dad to be happy.

I do want that, I guess.

Why the fuck does it have to be with her?

“What do you think is taking Elliana so long?” Dad asks, looking toward the arched doorway that gives us a view of the hall. “I would hate for the food to get cold.”

Another thing he can’t see—the way his supposedly loving wife’s eyes go from wide and innocent to cold and hard the second her daughter is mentioned. “I’m sure she’ll be down any second. It’s been a big day, moving everything in.”

Dad gives her an indulgent smile. “It’s been a great day. Finally, this house can be full of life.”

What? Did I fill it with death? What the fuck?

He has no idea how stupid he sounds. He can’t possibly.

Because if he did, he would staple his own mouth shut before turning to me and coming up with something even stupider. “Carter, why don’t you go up and see if your sister needs help?”

My sister? I don’t have a sister. I’m an only fucking child. Why does he have to go overboard? He has no idea how pathetic all of this is.

Irene’s smile goes tight until it’s about as sincere as the smile Dad told me to wear tonight so my new stepmother and stepsister would feel comfortable. “Carter doesn’t need to do that,” she murmurs, batting her eyelashes at me. She better be careful—one of them might fall off onto her plate if she doesn’t stop. “If Elliana cannot be on time for dinner, she will eat cold food alone at the table. I’m not going to spoil her now.”

Well, at least we agree on something.

We shouldn’t have to sit around and wait for that weird, awkward girl who barely looked at me today when she got to the house and didn’t say a word, even when Irene tried to prompt her.

Dad laughed it off—later, I heard him murmuring something to Irene about Elliana needing a little time to adjust, telling her she has all the time in the world.

This whole thing is one big joke.

“Then I guess we’ll dig in.” Dad leans over to cut a piece of lasagna from a large pan. Really, it probably doesn’t matter that we’ve waited so long—there’s still steam billowing up from it when he plates his piece, and adds sides from various cut-glass bowls arranged in the center of the table along with a huge bouquet of white roses and candles that offer flickering light.

Irene heaps salad onto her plate and barely tips the bottle of dressing to get a few drops out before setting it back in place. “I have to watch my figure if I’m going to fit into my dress, of course.” She giggles.

Why? Because it’s not bad enough that you eloped after only a few dates?
Both of them broke me but only one stayed to rebuild me.

Living with Colt wasn’t supposed to feel this normal, but for a moment, I think we can finally leave the past behind. Only, nothing is ever that easy.

It starts with the sensation of being watched, then come the messages—anonymous, threatening, and impossible to ignore.

Someone knows too much, and their words are a reminder that safety is only an illusion.

My past refuses to stay buried. Instead, it wants to burn me alive .

*This is book two of a duet. Lock Me Inside should be read prior to reading this. Please be advised that this is a dark romance, including many triggers.*

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

1

COLT

“Get the fuck out of the way!” I punch the horn with my fist, making it blare loud enough that Leni winces in the passenger seat. I see her over there, and I’m even sorry for upsetting her, but I can’t find it in me to apologize. Besides, I know she understands. This is what I’ve waited for these past six months since finding Mom in the hospital and moving her closer to us so I could be with her when this day finally came. Until now, I wasn’t sure it ever would. It wasn’t until we got the call not more than twenty minutes ago that I believed it was possible for my mother to wake up after being in a coma for years.

“Colton, she’s awake. Your mother woke up a few minutes ago.” I was deep asleep when the phone rang, but by the time I heard those words, I was wide awake and already out of bed. Leni stared at me in a mixture of dread and confusion as she sat up, scrubbing a hand over her tousled hair. She finally pulled it all together over the course of the questions I fired at the doctor, and by the time I ended the call, she was already getting dressed.

Mom is awake. I don’t know what life is going to look like for her, but she’s awake. That can’t be anything but a good sign.

“Maybe slow down a little.” Leni’s voice is barely louder than a whisper, and it’s filled with nerves. But this isn’t her mom we’re rushing to. It’s my mom. My mom, who I hadn’t seen in years before she was found in that hospital where Dad stashed her, far away from her sons, the people who actually loved her and needed her. There’s part of my soul—what little of it is left—that craves the sight of her. That longs to have her look into my eyes and see me for the first time in too long.

“We’ll be there in a minute.” I can’t slow down. When the asshole in front of me taps his brakes instead of trying to beat a yellow light, I swerve around him, honking, ignoring the shouts through his window as I speed through the light and travel the last block before the hospital comes up.

“You have to try to calm down.” Leni’s hand covers my leg, and I have to resist the impulse to brush it away like I would a mosquito or a fly—like she’s a pest when she is anything but. “You don’t want her to see you like this. She would want you to be calm.”

She’s right. The fact that I almost swatted her away proves that. But she doesn’t know how it feels, either. Thinking for so long something was lost forever, then finally getting it back.

I wish Nix was here. That would make it perfect.

My heart is sinking by the time I take a quick right turn into the hospital parking lot. Dammit. He should be here. She should have both of her sons with her, letting her know we never stopped thinking about her, that we’ve been waiting for her to wake up ever since finding her alive.

But no. One of us is supposedly dead.

A burning coal of resentment lodges itself in my gut every time I think about him and the way the rest of the world is ready to accept the idea of him being gone. Nobody knows him like I do. He’s alive. I feel it.

I’m the only one that believes it. Not even Leni gets it. She’s content to believe what everyone else does: that he died in the explosion, that it’s his body in the grave in the cemetery. I went to his funeral and probably looked like a heartless, unfeeling bastard when I didn’t shed a tear while people all around me wept their hearts out.

Leni was one of them, whimpering softly, dabbing her eyes with a tissue and holding onto my arm for support. I gave it to her, but I felt nothing. It was like going through the motions in a nightmare or a fever dream, something that didn’t make any sense.

I sort of feel like I’m in a dream now, rushing to the hospital door once I’ve parked the car in the first available space. Leni has to trot to keep up with me and finally catches up by the time we’ve reached the elevators beyond the front desk. I’ve been here so many times, I practically know the hospital like the back of my hand. I recognize the people behind the desk, the security guard sitting with them, and I nod to them before jabbing my finger against the button.

“Seriously, Colt. Breathe.” Leni takes my hand, ignoring my tension, running her thumb over the back of my knuckles. “You want her to see you at your best. We don’t know how much she’s going to remember or whether she knows time has passed. It could be enough of a shock just to see you older than she remembers you.”
Wake up, go to school, come home, sleep, repeat.

Smile, be happy, fit in…

To an outsider, I live the perfect life. Big house, elite school, fancy car, and a doting father.

Too bad it’s all a lie.

No one knows my secrets and no one ever will.

Tucker Kingsley hates me for what I did to him two years ago and he’ll try his best to destroy me, but you can’t break what’s already broken.

Vengeful Sins is an all new dark bully romance and second book in the Wicked Elite series but can be read as a standalone.

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

1

TUCKER

Ialways wondered about people who complain when their friends start dating somebody. When they bitch and moan about how things aren’t the same. Like, life doesn’t stay the same. That’s the point. I always thought that was immature.

Now, I’m starting to understand.

Not like I would ever tell my best friend, Briggs, to stop dating his girlfriend Wren. For one thing, I like all my teeth being where they are, which wouldn’t be true anymore if I made the mistake of complaining about her. He’s completely into her—I’ve never seen him like this with any other girl. None of us have ever committed. Girls are fun, they scratch an itch, and they’re good to look. But actually staying with the same one? I’d get bored by the end of the weekend.

I don’t have to understand, I guess. What I have to do is learn to get over having her around all the time. I’ve heard people muttering and whispering about them while we hang out in the cafeteria or outside on campus. Maybe somebody sewed all their clothes together. Do you think she keeps his balls in her backpack?

I kind of like having my friend around and wouldn’t want to visit him in prison, so I won’t tell him about any of those comments.

Still, I get it. And the thing is, none of those smirking assholes have to watch what they say when they’re with their friends, when not that long ago there was a time we would feed off each other’s bitterness and cynicism. It was kind of how we relaxed. Who could say the most fucked up thing?

“I saw Tiana park her car near yours this morning.” Carter grins at me, and I know my balls are about to get busted. “Is there something you’re not telling us?” he asks me.

“Oh, yeah. I totally forgot.” After cramming a few fries into my mouth, I mumble, “She’s totally pregnant with my babies. We’re probably gonna go to Las Vegas to elope.”

“I just thought maybe she wanted to say hi. But I guess there are better things she could do with her mouth.” Just in case nobody gets the idea, he pokes his tongue against the inside of his cheek.

“You look awfully comfortable doing that.” The fry I tossed at his face bounces off his forehead, but he just keeps doing it.

The tiny, choked noise coming from the other side of the table makes me look up from my food. Wren looks a little sick before she slides a look toward Briggs, who puts an arm around her shoulders.

“Maybe let’s talk about something else,” Briggs said. “Nobody wants to hear about that bitch.” Right, Tiana threw Wren into a pool not that long ago when she didn’t know how to swim. She can be a nasty bitch when she decides to be. She works overtime at it.

Carter’s face tells me he doesn’t like having anybody decide what he can and can’t talk about. It’s not like I blame him or anything—none of us are all that good at listening to anybody who tells us what to do. But he’s wrong if he thinks I’m going to roll my eyes or shake my head or anything like that. I’m not starting shit over this.

Besides, he should know how important it is to Briggs that Wren is safe and happy after what she went through. Carter’s dad, Paul, has been helping Briggs track down his dad. They haven’t been successful yet.

If my girlfriend got death threats from my dad before he tried to kill her with his bare hands, she would never leave my sight. And, yeah, I might not talk the way I used to if it offended her or whatever.

Wren’s apologetic smile goes wide when she sees something over my shoulder. “Hey!” She lifts a hand to get somebody’s attention. I don’t think she has that many friends around here, which tells me there’s only one person she would look so happy to see.

I would swear I’m moving in slow motion, turning around in my seat and looking at the doorway leading outside. Somebody just walked through. A girl whose strawberry blonde hair looks like a halo around her head when the sun hits it the way it is right now. Only she’s not a saint. She’d probably burn up if I threw holy water on her. What a shame I don’t have any.
You’re taking my brother so good, kitten…”

My name is Cleo Williams and I’ve been carrying a secret all my life. I intend for it to die with me. I have no regrets as I step into Heaven at Purgatory, a dark nightclub, intending to sell my virginity.

Until I realize who I’m selling it to.

Once upon a time, they were my best friends, the only family I’d ever known.

Eight years later, we’re nothing but strangers.

One night at Purgatory was supposed to be the start of my new life. A way to run away from my dark past and the two guys who I loved once.

Instead, selling my cherry became my worst nightmare when I sold it to Tristian and Talon, the two foster brothers whose father ruined my life eight years ago.

I know all their secrets.

But they don’t know mine, and never will.

THEIR KITTEN is a full-length dark menage romance with extreme themes. Read with caution… and a safeword. This book is a standalone ending with a HEA.

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

CLEO

The place doesn’t look like a sex club. Then again, I guess that’s the point.

Purgatory is the kind of place that looms a lot larger in legend than it does in reality. They don’t advertise. There’s no big sign out front. And considering they’re supposedly very exclusive, I’m sure that most of the stories I’ve heard while tending bar are either second or third-hand and have been blown way out of proportion. A friend of a friend told somebody something, and an urban legend was born.

In other words, I’m not impressed as I stand in front of a three-story building that blends in with those on either side of it. There are no windows, no way to look inside, and I guess that’s the point. You don’t want your customers reminded of the real world outside your walls. They’re supposed to be escaping into a fantasy.

I’ve done a lot of thinking about it ever since deciding to take the leap and sink, probably as low as I’ll ever go, like a demented game of limbo. Tonight, I’m offering myself up here like a prize cow. But I need the money, and I need it badly. In the face of eviction and starvation, a single night with a willing partner who happens to be able to pay doesn’t seem like such a big deal.

Actually, according to the club’s owner, I’ll have two partners tonight. Double the fun, as he put it, and double the money, as I see it.

It’s my empty, growling stomach that gets me moving. I cross the sidewalk and ring the bell, and when I look around, I see not so hidden cameras in the upper corners of the doorway.

Are they even going to let me in? They should… Lucian Black sounded very interested once I described myself over the phone, but of course he wants to get a look at me in person before we finalize things. Is he watching me now? I feel like he is. A man in his position, who insists on personally vetting each new girl, likes complete control.

My heart leaps when the lock clicks, and once the door is partly open, I’m greeted by a mountain of a man dressed all in black.

“I’m here to see the owner,” I tell him in a voice that sounds a lot more confident than I currently feel.

His eyes rake over me before returning to my face.

“Why?” he almost barks, and it’s all I can do not to scurry away like a scared rabbit.

“Excuse me?”

“For what?”

“Oh. I called yesterday, and he told me to come in and see him personally. It’s about a position here.”

He snorts, and my skin crawls. “A position. Right. And your name?”

“Cleo Williams.”

A soft jingling interrupts us—when the guard dips a hand into his pocket, I realize it’s his phone ringing. He wastes no time answering, and the person on the other end wastes no time either in getting their point across.

“Follow me.”

The guy opens the door wider for me to step inside. I guess whoever’s watching the security feed saw me and approved for me to come in. There isn’t much time for me to do more than glance around the entry. I only take in brief glimpses of my dark, tasteful surroundings. Everything about this interior screams money and prestige.

“This way.”

He leads me past the reception desk and through a doorway I wouldn’t have known existed, since it sits flush with the dark wallpapered wall. A narrow staircase leads up to a hallway lined with closed doors on both sides. I have a pretty good idea what takes place behind those doors. It all seems quiet right now, but it’s early in the evening…

Besides, I guess everything is soundproofed. Otherwise, it would get pretty noisy and might ruin somebody’s time. I doubt the patrons of Purgatory want to hear a stranger acting out a fantasy while they try to live theirs.

The door at the end of the hall swings open before we’ve reached it, revealing a room that, again, screams money. Everything about it, from the dark colors to the sleek leather furniture, delivers a very definite message.

Filthy rich.

I spot a man sitting behind a massive desk. He’s so handsome it’s almost intimidating, and that, combined with the powerful energy rolling off him, makes my heartbeat quicken.

He stands, extending a hand. “Lucian Black. Thank you for your punctuality.”

“We made an appointment.”

“Indeed, we did.” He gestures toward the bar in one corner, lined with glass bottles. “Can I offer you a drink?”

“Please.” It must have come out sounding as shaky and eager as I feel, since he snorts ever so softly before heading over.

“Any preference?”

“Whiskey, please.” I won’t go so far as to ask for a double, though I could use one. Or two.

“You didn’t lie when you gave your description over the phone.” He eyes me over his shoulder before turning back to the drinks. “That shade suits you.”
The city has been ruled by the five families since before I was born. Wicked Falls Elite was ruled by their sons.

Everyone hated me here but none more than Briggs Weston, and he has vowed to make my life a living hell.

Briggs is as gorgeous as he is unhinging, sinister, and untouchable.

But If he thinks I’m going to bow down to him without a fight, he is going to be in for a rude awakening.

*This is the first book in the Wicked Falls Elite series, but it can be read as a standalone. Please be advised that this story includes many triggers. A complete list of triggers can be found inside the book. This story ends in a HEA.*

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

1

WREN

One thing is for sure, as I walk through campus on the first day of classes, holding on tight to the strap of my backpack and trying to stay out of everybody’s way, I do not belong here.

“Looks like somebody picked over the racks down at Goodwill.” Soft, high-pitched laughter follows me across the quad, which is surrounded on four sides by tall, stately buildings. The sort of buildings you see on TV, in movies, with ivy on the outside walls and everything. The entire place practically drips money. I keep my gaze trained on the ground, expecting to see cash oozing up through the few cracks visible in the pavement—very few—everything around here is close to perfect.

Again. I do not belong. I’m anything but perfect.

I don’t want to be here. That’s the only thing I know for sure. Most people would kill for the chance to attend Wicked Falls University, which is usually reserved for kids from the town’s wealthiest families. In other words, it’s not the kind of school I ever would have dreamed of attending, but then life has a way of doing whatever it wants sometimes. It doesn’t matter what I want. How I feel.

Somebody wants me here.

“It’s official, kiddo. You’re going to college with all the rich kids. They won’t look down on us after this.” I can still hear Mom’s laughter, can see the way her eyes sparkled when she gave me the news during one of our rare visits. It didn’t matter that this was a bad idea. That she was basically condemning me to spend time with people who hate me. Because of her. That’s the worst part; they hate me because of what she has done, what she is known for… sleeping around with married men. Which is coincidentally the reason I got into this school. There she was, laughing it up and swirling red wine in her glass, not realizing she basically signed my death warrant.

I tug the hem of my washed out T-shirt, which used to be a dark purple but is now more like a faded lilac. It’s shrunk a little bit, and I keep feeling it ride up over the waistband of my worn-out jeans as I walk to the building where my next class is held. I had calculus earlier, and it was actually okay. I expected a bunch of dirty looks and whispers, but most people didn’t seem to care, even if they did notice me.

My luck is not going to last for long. It never does. Over the years, I’ve learned it’s better not to get my hopes up. If you expect the worst, you’re always prepared when it comes.

“Who’s that, one of the janitors?” This time a guy asks the question, laughing like he just told the funniest joke ever as I walk past where he and his friends are hanging out on the grass. I won’t bother looking. I won’t give him the satisfaction of knowing I heard him.

“Are you kidding?” a girl demands like she’s offended. “Don’t insult the real janitors like that!” Now there’s more laughter, and somehow it hangs on me like a heavy cloak, waterlogged, dragging me down. It makes my feet heavy, but I keep moving with my head low and my eyes on the ground. I can’t believe this is my life.

My Early American Literature class is held in a normal classroom versus a big lecture hall with stadium seating. I was kind of hoping to hide in the back and be the first one out the door when class is over, but there’s no such luck. Rows of desks are arranged on the linoleum floor, and the bright fluorescent lights overhead mean I might as well be walking under a spotlight as I enter the room.

I would swear the temperature drops ten degrees when I enter, and it definitely gets quieter as my presence is registered by the people who are already waiting for class to start. I have every right to be here. I’m just as good as they are. My lame affirmations didn’t work very well last night when I was trying to fall asleep, and they’re not doing much better now. When am I ever going to be able to stop paying for somebody else’s choices?

Don’t let them see. Don’t let them know. Honestly, it doesn’t matter. This entire town has made me their mascot in some sick, twisted game whose rules they never bothered teaching me. They get off on tearing me down, laughing at me, making me the symbol of everything beneath them. Because what else do a bunch of rich, bored people have to do with their time? I don’t even know why they bother going to college. They’ll just live off their family money forever. If I had that kind of money, and I was set for life, I wouldn’t bully other people who don’t have it as good as me.
It was not supposed to end like this.

We were supposed to be together forever, but our world erupted into chaos instead.

I’ll fight until the very end, but will it be enough?

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

1

SCARLET

Huddled behind a large tree, I stay hiding from everyone passing by. Not that there are a lot of people driving out here, but I can’t be sure Ren… no, River, isn’t looking for me yet. Even with everything he’s done, I still feel bad about leaving the way I did. I’m worried he is hurt, angry, and alone. But I know I can’t help him, at least not on my own. I don’t know much about split personality disorder. Really only from movies and TV shows and those never showed me how to treat it. All I know is that Ren turns into a different person, literally. A person who dislikes me very much.

Now that I think about it, I feel stupid for not seeing it before. The sudden mood changes, the seemingly forgotten conversations, the way I never got to meet River or even hear his voice. It all seems so obvious now. I guess I was blinded by love. I didn’t want to believe that there was something wrong with our relationship. I waited so long to be with Ren. I didn’t want to see the red flags until it was too late.

The wind blows harshly around me as the sun sets on the horizon. With my back against the rough bark of the tree, I cross my arms in front of my chest to keep warm, just as I hear the sound of car engines approaching. Carefully, I peek around the tree to the parking lot of the gas station I told my dad I would be. Only when I see the family black SVU pull up into an empty spot, do I perk up. I wait another beat before the back door opens and a large man dressed in a dark gray suit steps out. Dad.

Without another thought, I duck around the tree and run toward my father. He has his back turned to me, but as soon as he hears me approach, he spins around. His dark, wary eyes light up when he sees me. He opens his arms just as I slam into his chest, harshly. Burying my nose into his suit jacket, I let the familiar scent of his cologne calm me down. He wraps his strong arms around me, pulling me closer until I can barely breathe.

“Jesus, Scarlet, do you not have any idea how worried we were?” he murmurs into my hair before kissing the crown of my head, still not willing to let me go.

Usually, there is no show of affection in public. My dad has to uphold a certain image in front of his people and even the civilians. An image that doesn’t allow to show any kind of emotions. My father is one of the most feared men in the state, and he prides himself on keeping it that way. But today is not a normal day, and the situation is anything but usual.

“I’m so sorry I worried you, but I promise I’m fine. I’ve been fine this whole time.”

He gives me one last squeeze before releasing me reluctantly. I straighten up just to see my brother standing a few feet away from us.

“Hey, sis,” he greets me, his eyes soft, brimming with happiness.

“Quinton.” I sigh, stepping into my brother’s bear hug next. “If he hurt you, I’ll kill him,” he whispers into my ear during our embrace.

“I know, but he didn’t,” I swear, barely able to get the word out while I’m getting squeezed tightly.

My brother releases me and only now do I realize how I’m shaking.

“Let’s get you into the car.” My father ushers me to the backseat of the SUV while Quinton takes the passenger seat.

Tony, one of my father’s drivers, gives me a courtesy nod in the back mirror as I settle into the leather seat. My father slides in beside me.

“You need to tell me where he is, Scarlet. Where is Ren?” My dad questions. “I already have back up on the way to search the area.”

My heart slams against my chest, thinking about what will happen if my father’s men find him right now. I told Ren I don’t believe my dad would kill him, but the truth is, I can’t be sure what would happen, especially now. What if they find him and he is still River?

“Ren is gone,” I finally say.

“Don’t lie to me, Scarlet. You need to tell me the truth.”

“I am, Ren is gone…” A wave of emotion overcomes me, pressure building behind my eyes as the tears start to fall down my face. My Ren is gone, and I don’t know how to get him back. “We were staying together in a cabin not far from here. But when I left, he was not Ren anymore.”

“What do you mean by that?” Quinton asks from the front seat.
She was supposed to be a target. One look, and I knew this innocent angel would never plan a terrorist attack. Canceling the hit isn’t a problem, knowing that they will just send someone else shouldn’t be either.
The closer I get to her the more I know that I won’t let anything happen to her. I’ll risk everything to make her mine and I’ll kill everyone who tries to get in my way. About Forbidden Dreams...Hot professors, devilish billionaires, irredeemable mob bosses, and off-limits rivals. They all have one thing in common… even flirting with them is strictly forbidden. Just one risqué glance will drag you into a thrilling world filled with wickedness and excitement. The Forbidden Dreams world is filled with secret crushes, filthy rich playboys, brutishly handsome grooms, and oh so grumpy bossholes. Fill your life with steamy, red-hot romance by one-clicking them all today!

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

1

TRENT

With my rifle, I lie perched on top of an apartment building, looking through my scope at the university campus below. Dread settles in the pit of my gut as I watch my mark. Something about this hit doesn’t feel right. Morgan Thomson doesn’t look like the usual targets I’m sent to eliminate. She’s much younger than I expected, probably around nineteen years old. That’s not to say that a young person couldn’t be a terrorist; anyone had the potential to be one. But nothing about this woman raises any red flags in my mind or screams danger. When I was given this assignment, I thought I was going after a disturbed outcast looking to hurt as many innocent students as they could. I hadn’t expected to see a blond bombshell who didn’t look like she’d hurt a fly.

This has to be some kind of mistake. I zoom in a little more to get a better look at her. I’m usually good at reading people, but nothing about her showcases the threat The Hotel thinks she is. I watch her as she makes her way across campus, a pair of rose gold Beats on her head as she clutches a couple of books to her chest. Her long, golden locks shimmer in the sunlight as if strands of spun gold naturally grow out of her scalp. She’s dressed in a peach-colored tank top and denim jeans that mold themselves to her body as if perfectly tailored to her curves. I zoom in even farther, homing in on her piercing blue eyes framed by long dark lashes. A light dusting of freckles is visible across her nose and cheeks, almost invisible due to her tan. Something foreign stirs in my chest when my gaze falls to her full pink pout, but I quickly rein myself in to focus on my task. The first thing they teach us in training is not to get distracted in the field, as distractions can lead to fatal consequences. If she’s the threat I’ve been sent to eliminate, I can’t afford to have my thoughts run away from me—no matter how gorgeous she is.

The longer I look at her, the more wrong this feels. The innocence radiating off her makes it hard to see her as someone who plans to blow up a school. All the intel we’ve collected so far points to her being the organizer of the alleged terrorist attack happening here on campus, but nothing about her screams danger or makes me believe that her main objective is to hurt as many people as possible.

She smiles and waves at passing students, even stopping to take a photo with a couple of students who ask her. A slight frown settles on my lips as I watch her pick up some stray pieces of trash off the ground before tossing them into a nearby trash can. She spins around a couple of times before skipping along the sidewalk in a rhythm that I imagine correlates to the music flowing from her headphones. Potential bombers don’t usually skip along the sidewalk to pop music if they plan on killing innocent people. They also don’t stop to take photos with random people, especially if they know the person may end up dead because of them. With each minute that ticks by, that nagging voice in the back of my mind grows louder.

Yeah, something definitely isn’t right about this.

I connect my earpiece to my phone and place a call to The Hotel, the shadow government organization I’m contracted with. My eyes remain on Morgan as the call rings, a million and one questions swirling around in my head. I’ve been on this rooftop since early this morning, watching Morgan move around campus, but I can’t find anything that warrants this hit. I’ve never been in a situation where I’ve second-guessed a potential mark, but my gut tells me things aren’t what they appear to be.

And I refuse to have another failed mission on my conscience if Morgan isn’t the person we’re after.

I retrieve the folder with Morgan’s information from my bag and look over it. There are pages upon pages of information gathered on her, from the other people involved with her, the potential organizations funding her, as well as potential dates for when the bombing would happen. I pause when I reach the black-and-white photos of her. She looks nervous or on edge in all the photos we have of her. She’s always looking behind her as if she has to constantly watch her back to ensure no one is on to her and her scheming. Her photos make her look as if she has something to hide, as if she’s sneaking around in preparation for something that’ll take many lives once initiated.

“This is Natalie speaking,” a soft voice says when the call finally connects, breaking me out of my thoughts.
